Better Day…

It’s 5pm and it’s already dark outside… (edit: it’s actually 7pm, my new PC was set to pacific time, which is 2 hours before me, lol)

I did notice yesterday was bleeding emotionally into other areas, so I made a point to step back in a big way in those spots. Nothing personal, but I was taking things personally. Whether warranted or not, it hurt, so I backed off, and will probably lay low for awhile, or at least until I am properly recentered. It sucks, but I need to take care of me. The whole point of radical self care is putting yourself first regardless if it’s uncomfortable or inconvenient.

Which is ironic, because …no, I need to write another blog post about that.

So…about that new PC. I got myself an Acer Nitro 60. OH MY GOGGLES it’s exactly what I’ve always wanted. It’s my first “brand new” pc in a very long time, as all of the ones I’ve had in the last 10 years have been hand-me-downs or pawn shop finds. This one has enough power to actually stream if I decide to do that one day.

The best part is that it is the last thing I needed to finish a decent setup that will last a few years, it’s completely upgradable in its current state, and I can change the colors if I wanted to. Blue is my favorite color, so it’ll sit on default for awhile.

As of right now, I’m sitting on enough cash to cover the next five months of rent and still get those clothes for my next job. I’m currently wondering if I should get clothes now or go job browsing to see what the dress code requirements are before actually buying any. I’m thinking check out the jobs first, then go buy.

Anyway, I also mentioned my new camera, yesterday! it’s a newer model than my OG Canon, so I have to iron out some kinks re: focus, autofocus, burst shots, etc. BUT I got some great pics today. The cool part was that it was my high school (Cooper) vs Jim Ned, who I used to do sports photog for. I’ll wrap up the post by sharing some of them. I think #1 blue team is my friend’s son, so I captured a few extras of him. I’m probably wrong, but no matter.
